After some pushing from Ryan, I have completed converting AjaxSearch to use mootools instead of prototype/scriptaculous. I thought I would post it here so you all could give it a quick run through to see if there are any problems. I think the live search functionality needs a little tweaking but it should work.

You need to copy all files to the snippet directory and copy the contents of snippet-ajaxSearch-tpl.php into the snippet.
