Why why why does the homepage not use the nice dropdown menu?
I mean at modx.it itself. Just wanted to show it someone as a demo and looked stupid in the meeting.

No clue... there’s been lots of changes and work going on there though... sorry ’bout that!

I think it has to do with the caching and the template switcher plugin. If a page is not cached and someone switchs to another template and then visits an uncached page it will be cached with the changed template.

Alright, let’s consider the modx.it default content area closed. I have moved this content to the installer now and it is checked in as of revision 1683. However, I have a couple if issues that need to be considered or worked out:
1. I can’t get UPDATE statements in the setup.data.sql file to set the categories on the snippets/plugins that are being inserted outside of the demo data, yet the SQL statements work perfectly when I execute them via phpMyAdmin. If anyone has any clues on what I might be doing wrong here, feel free to chime in.
2. With Jot, in order to get the sample data in, I had to add the CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS statements for both Jot tables (apparently if the content table exists and the other doesn’t, it doesn’t know it might still needs to create the subscription table) into setup.data.sql.
I’m sure there is lot’s more to polish up, but at least it’s in the install and now we can all work on it within our local installations more easily.
