Here’s the first one from rev1290... version listed as 1288.

There’s lots of content updates to do on this (merging in new default snippets, for instance), but functionally, it seems pretty solid.

    Major bugs to fix:
    404 header response failure

    Major features to do:
    cleaned up manager code
    recursive parser

    Other items still needed:
    Updated Ditto
    Updated default content
    Add Replix/Jot
Add Ministats Module for replacement default stats
Add Search Results term highlighting plugin
Remove deprecated assets @ installer after updates
Add default categories to installer for grouping chunks/snippets/etc.

If you’ve made commits to your branch recently for features or for bug fixes, please make sure they’ve been merged and confirm they’re working in this build. They should all be merged in (thanks Jason!).

After a quick glance there are a couple of things with this build I wanted to note:

      • In the manager under Reports if you click on Statistics you get errors. Should this menu item be removed since we removed the default stats?
      • The AjaxSearch snippet also has a plugin that can be used to highlight the search results on the clicked through page. Should we add that to the install as well?
      • The changes I made in adding the category support for snippets/plugins/modules/etc... are not included. I haven’t heard if anyone has had a chance to test this yet, so it may need more testing before including. Whatever you decide is fine with me.

I am also going to be updating the WayFinder snippet to include susans new link attribute feature. So that will need updated once I have finished that.

Overall though I would say things are looking very good.

Stats page should be removed ... good catch... "Now Browsing" should too I think.

Definitely on the plugin for search highlighting.

We’ll get your branch merged in for the next build... sorry ’bout the oversight! Looking forward to link attributes on Wayfinder too. smiley (love that snippet)

I have found the following issues with the latest version:

              1. Using the blue MODx theme the login page is not formatted.

              2. There is no "add category" option available in the resources->categories tab.

              3. The resources menu only has manage resources there. Maybe we should add shortcuts to snippets, chunks, etc there or something?

Regarding categories, what about making "snippet", "plugin", etc categories (editable the php tagging library by alex king) and making the tabs the categories? How cool would that be?

                3. The resources menu only has manage resources there. Maybe we should add shortcuts to snippets, chunks, etc there or something?

                +1 from me.

Categories are a great idea. How about categories for each ressource and not only in general? E.g. I have lots of TVs which I´d like to categorize within the TV-view. Just an idea.

Another thing: The doc manager (btw has a typo in the menu) is great. Would it be possible to add the "parent" field as an option? Would be great for "mass moves" of documents.

I remember a modification of the manager theme which was very impressing (the one with two columns for the properties of a document and a bit less fancy colors). I searched a lot and think this one was it: http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,3389.0.html But the site is offline, perhaps we should contact this guy for another look at it. Imho the new green version needs some polish wink But withrev1307 I can´t test, because it´s not rendering a lot laugh BTW: Thanks Ryan for uploading them, I never used SVN.

I had totally forgotten about that, but based on a request I posted, Heliotrope did a quick hack of Ajax Menu Index to control the display order of TVs in the manager (same thread). Also check http://modxcms.com/bugs/task/444.

This thing is more than helpful to structure the input field for TVs when editing a document. I’ll write Heliotrope about this, since he never cleaned up his hack to make it into a real ressource. If not in the distro, I’d like that to be in the repository.

Sorry for this somewhat "off topic" post... I just thought I’d mention this before I forget about it again...

Edit : I installed rev 1307 and everything went fine.

Categories work great ! It sure will make working on complex website easier smiley
The only thing which surprised me is I thought every tab (chunk, snippets...) would be categorized, not on tab categorizing all ressources.

I also run an upgrade from 0.9.2.1 to 0.9.5 on a local miror of a production website (I like to test with content, snippets, plugins and modules installed). I went good, now I’ll get down to checking what works and what does not, and report.

Last but not least, I made a quick attempt to install the new parser (Beta 2) with rev1307, but failed...

Hi. If any of you are using PHP 5.1.2-1, can you please confirm whether the CAPTCHA image displays with this test build?

I’ve been assigned a bug report:
                    http://modxcms.com/bugs/task/245
which suggests that it doesn’t in 0.9.2.1; before I set up a similar environment to verify the continued presence of the bug I thought I may as well ask you lot. Bear in mind that it may or may not be impossible to switch CAPTCHA off again.
No, I don't know what OpenGeek's saying half the time either.

I’m using rev 1197 on MAMP with PHP 5.1.2, and the captcha image shows up on the manager login page with no problem.

Looking at the code in veriword.php, it’s looking in the database for the list of words, and not finding anything. I suspect this is more a problem with the database than with the PHP version.

It might be a good idea to put a bit of error handling there in the code, though. If it can’t find the words, it should return something to let the login page know not use captcha.
