[Module/Snippet] Content Getter : opinion and test

Does somebody have comments ? or of criticisms? or something to say?

I will appreciate enormously if somebody could read and possibly modify the file language and documentation I know that my english is very bad

Hi Guillaume, as you know that we were busy at repository stuff lately so I am sure now things will get up again in few days

I am going to give it a quick review and let you know, as my scenerio is:

I want to grab content from various places (e.g. RSS feeds, MODx blog feed content are example of what I want to accomplish, another would be to show my blog http://modxcms.com/zaigham-rana.html content on http://zidesigns.com/blog.html side by side) and put on http://zidesigns.com and http://zidesigns.com/rc/ , if you think its possible with this snippet then let me know

I don’t understand very well.
You can get the content of the page http://modxcms.com/zaigham-rana.html (for example since "modxcms.com on CSSREMIX" to "read more" at the bottom of theage). But the links get will be linked to the message on the modx website.
It is possible to extend the class to replace original links by your own links but I don’t want to do this myself because another person could want to make believe that the text comes from him whereas it is not the case. A solution will be to add a link under the original message to your page.
To get all document on the modx website, you need to add a new "grab" with the module for each page. It is to avoid a mass grabbing of a website.

The content of the content get is the original text. Only links of images are modified to pemit a correct presentation.

After the instalation of the combo, run the module. You can view some examples : the last messages from the modx blog, the list of connected users and more.

I have some issue:

1) [!ContentGrabber!] works but [!ContentGrabber &onegrab=2 !] display nothing

2) The module does’nt appear in new MODx manager module menu

edit: module appears in modx menu module after logout-login

Did you notch well the checkbox “Display” ?

Could this be added to the resource repository? There is a demand for it..
