I just completed a little project, in which I setup a
site and
weblog for a game studio, it is almost exactly what we have on our blogs. Thanks to
Mark for helping me in this regard.
Coming to my point, when I was setting up commenting system, I came across that we don’t have something to edit comments! a user friendly interface I mean.
In respect to comments system, I would like to suggest that we should have better commenting interface for our Bloggers audience, we can see the system of Wordpress for example.
On other side, I like the flexibility of its templating, we can add fields just like tags and display them, so I think we just need to workout some things IMO, described below:
Essentials:
1) Comment Editing
2) Hidden Fields (for example: email field, which user have to input but we never show it to public)
3) Turning ON/OFF the comments
Optional ( or I dont know if this is possible)
1) If we change template of our comments, it updates all previous comments structure too, may be blank fields with default values.
I think I have written all things in my mind, ..... OH yes, if it would be Ajax based then I would say WOW!
Besides of all my random thoughts, I would love to have your thoughts on this matter
