[Snippet] BETA: FileCabinet

Allows for user uploads of files. Not thoroughly tested, but appears to work well. Strip the openning/closing php tags, please.

Is this snippet is different than the previous one ?

Ok, anyone can test this snippet, so we can get our repo up and running, we may have to alter the stuff a bit I guess, but I dont know the code perspective of this stuff, so I am leaving the "How to implement" stuff in our talented coders

My thoughts for this snippet were to graft file uploads into UserComments and to turn it into an osCommerce-esque style File Repository. Any takers?

Well, I’ll definitely have a look - I need to do a bit of research into osCommerce to get an idea of the type of File Repository you’re thinking of but I really like the look of this snippet. I’d be happy to team up with somebody on this so if anybody wants to partner up, let me know.

I really want to get a few updates out for some of my existing modules though so I won’t be able to start looking at this for perhaps the next week or so.

Garry, I’d love to work with you on this... I’ve got a pretty solid plan I think and I think a couple of craft UserComments templates referencing FileUpload snippet would handle it well.

Cool! I’ll do a bit of research and familarise myself with the snippets etc. Hopefully will get onto actively working on this towards the end of next week - I’ll keep you informed as to when I start.

In the meantime, keep throwing over any ideas you have. More the merrier
