The long awaited SMF Module!

Also using two separate databases (would that be the explanation ?), MODx 0.9.1, XAMPP 1.4.16 WinXP SP1.

I’ll try installing SMF in the same database and check if this works better...

Using separate dBs too. Not game to install in one! SMF1.2RC2, ModX 0.9.1 on Apache.

Is it a requirement to have one dB?

Shouldn’t be, since it can sync enough to delete or disable the corresponding account in SMF when you delete a user in MODx.

That’s correct Susan. It should not cause any problems at all.

The file that’s reponsible of the sync is smf.sync.class.inc.php

Can someone post a screenshot of what happens after a User Sync?

Your sync screen should look like this:

There’s nothing to post. It puts up the javascript alert (Are you sure you want to synchronise...), then refreshes the frame to what it was in the beginning.

Just one thing I noticed when compared to the readme, probably has nothing to do with it but the styles for the smf module page are "broken" :

When I click on synchronizing users, nothing gets changed, it’s the same screen as above...

Ah, I opened the .doc file in TextEdit because NeoOffice/J is such a beast; I didn’t even think that missing out on the pretty pictures would make any difference!

Yeah I forgot to mention I was using FF 1.5/Win.

And I confirm : the synchronization worked with IE !

No, they can be separate. WebGroups arn’t exported to SMF. It’s not impossible to do but you know it’s another milestone
