Anotherone with a nice interface

Maybe it provides some suggestions on how to improve ower own manager interface.

I looked through it and they do indeed have some good ideas, but I still think we can do a bit better

I’m a fan of ext too, but it seems like it’s a bit sluggish at times. Any experience there netnoise?

Well, it slows down every instance of my browser But the Linux Firefox Javascript experience isn’t the greatest anyways. In comparison to Dojo or Qooxdoo, I think it’s quite fast

Yeah, Ext has a fit in Fx, especially with FireBug enabled. Our new Ext-based manager for 0.9.7 runs much smoother when I disable FireBug, but it’s still a little bit less responsive than I would like...

I wonder if the Ext 1.1beta is any better with the native (no external JS lib required) implementation and I’d assume some cleanups.

I am not sure I like the concept behind the GUI.

I understand how you’d like to simplify it for the end user, but I think a "dual" interface is a better way to do it : backend for "power" editing and management and frontend for "in context editing and most used operations" (QuickEdit or InstaEdit like feature).

Growing overconfident makes you lazy, and that’s good to keep a sharp eye on what’s being done elsewhere !

Nice! I already knew that 0.9.7. will become exciting, but not that there will be a great new manager interface. Can’t wait for a testing release.
