Prepare Sourceforge mirror site content

Following up on Ryan’s post, I created this thread to discuss what should be in the SourceForge mirror site content. I’ll be adding my ideas very soon. Feel free to post any suggestions, idea you might have on this matter.

I say the front page becomes our release text... our tracker and lots of other things turned off if possible, and we start loading snapshots into their SVN repository... or something like that

Anyone played the SF game before?

I am afraid not...

But here are some first thoughts :


Project > Website points to modxcms.sourceeforge.net. Wouldn’t it better point to http://modxcms.com ?

Project > Screenshots : we should definitely put some nice screen shots there, I am willing to take care of that

Project > News : here is something I could also make sure is updated with important announcement, new releases...etc. Of course some people might just check out the modxcms.com website, but some will try to get a grasp of the project before even checking it. Anyway, shouldn’t take much time and could show off our activity (don’t know how activity is calculated, will check that, since it’s one of the key items people check out when they look at sourceforge listings).

The other items are redundant with the forums, the wiki and the bugtracker.

It says "MaxED is an open source basic text editor/ spreadsheet program currently in development by ModX Open Source Inc". In there a company with such a name ? ? ?
