Someone suggested to put a link on the homepage, that would be great. We could also ask every MODxer who has a blog and is willing to put up a link on their blogroll, even with a few blogs, that would boost things up.
As you suggested, some people ignore english boards : let’s have every moderator post something in their local forums in the annoucement section (As I just
did). That will help the cause
I didn’t know about the SMF annoucement system, seems like a great idea to me too.As for a blog post, you’re right I definitely should come up with something. I’ll work on that and submit it right here in the marketing forum. I’ll think about what other means could help us making to the prized spots...
Last but not least, I have been thinking lately that if we are to make serious marketing progress in the following months, we might need one or two extra hands to give and maintain the "impulse" (I have a few candidates in mind). This past months I have not been able to do a tenth of what I had in mind for MODx marketing (thanks Zi for keeping the engine running despite your other responsibilities to the project
). I’ll probably have more time when I’ll be finished moving to my new appartment, but even so I think it would be better to have another "full time" marketing member so that we keep momentuum at all times. What do you think ?
