Agreed about the news on the homepage, if you’re not registered on the forums you have no idea of all the things going on here
Also, Zi is right with multiple authors it’s easier to keep up with a decent publishing cycle and also it shows "team spirit" which is also one of the strong points of this project
For starters, annoucements on the boards could simply be copied/pasted, or quickly adapted. Some post could be summaries of some insightful threads, with reference to those who contributed to said thread. It would show another strong point of MODx’s project : the dev team listen to users => a nice thing would be to retrace the "birth" of a plugin or snippet, from the original idea to the actual implementation, with a rough estimate of the time in between. New dev team members could also be mentionned (we could have announced Jared Carlow joining the team for instance). Article focused on a module, snippet or plugin and users testimony could be ideas too. New features could be commented when new releases are out, and maybe teasing a little bit about the future without revealing it could be of interrest...
Just throwing ideas as they come here, but yeah the blog might be a good idea !
The only problem is, as usual, time...
