I was looking into implementing the ability to have snippets/chunks/templates/tvars/plugins/modules put into categories with a new screen to display them by category. Before moving any further with this I was wondering what the categories table was used for? This seemed like the logical place to put this information since each of the tables has a category field as well. After working on this some though I found that the modules already used this field and table. If anyone knows more about this or any reason why I shouldn’t do it this way, I would appreciate the insite.
