I just took peek at the installer sql file.
hmm, wouldn’t it be better to seperate the data from the basic configuration settings? oscommerce does this and it makes moving a site that much easier since you have a choice to install the data or not.
This could also be good for those who want an empty site versus those who’d like to see a "pre-set" still-in-the-box type of demo site.

edit 2: errrr, high lighting and then choosing new color produces double tags on firefox. ugh.
