AJAX in Modx core?

I have been searching for AJAX solution and found this one call "Prototype". It looks very promising!

Adam was thinking about doing QuickEdit with AJAX and perhaps this will help him speedup his effort!

Should we consider add this AJAX framework to the core so that anyone can take advantage of this solution?

Travis’s TP4 work already contains and uses the entire scriptaculous (and as a result) prototype.js libraries.

I knew you were going to say this! I was just about to reply to this post earlier and say that it’s likely that AJAX integration won’t show up till TP4. Which is good because integrating it now will only complicate things since TP4 is bringing in some pretty serious changes to the interface.
