Minimizing the upload times

    I’ve uploaded TP2 to a few sites and the new editors are certainly increasing upload times expotentially. I know we have discussed having an upload in zip feature...but what about having the editors zipped and then extracting them during the install process?

    Thoughts?

      The Rich-Text editors are now plugins and working with Raymonds branch I’ve noticed the footprint is much smaller than TP2. As a matter of fact, I believe TP3 will be smaller than our initial release. We’re only including FCKeditor now; and we’ll offer the TinyMCE as a separate download. Not sure if anyone is working on the installation features to auto-extract packages on the webserver... huh

        No one is addressing it per se AFAIK... but someone is more than welcome to do so.
