Well with the soon to be relase FCKEditor I think we can create/modify a plugin that will allow us to insert Snippets with ease

wow that's nice! I like how it reacts when you click it and the entire snippet code is selected. A great execution of the plugin would be to populate the popup box with snippet names/descriptions to allow for easier use by content contributors.
