Automated Plugins

Hello everyone,

Here's another idea for plugins.

How about being able to trigger a plugin based on a time schedule? What if you could schedule one plugin to be execute every five minutes and another to execute every monday and wednesday of the week?

These plugins could be used to execute automated tasks. Things like checking my email every five minutes, purging old files or send out monthly news letters or subscribers. The possibilities are endless.

This is just an idea and should not interfare with the existing plugins.

Very, very cool. CRON without having to get in at the shell level, which some hosts don't allow.
