Hello Everyone,
Sometime ago I remember Ryan and a few others requesting that we drop frames from MODx but I had a concern with about that. My concern was how could we drop frames but still maintain the flexibility of frames?
Now your will be answered. I've decided that I will create the splitter control. This control will offer the same resizing capabilities as would frames but in a nice dhtml package. I'll also modify the soda (or ajax) library to work with modx.
When I've created the control I'll post a demo of it.

I used CSS and overflow properties on a site that I didn't want the whole page to scroll, and use an iframe for the dynamic calendar.

Not to reduce the value of what you're offering here! It will be great! Just another way of doing similar things, I guess. And I'm not too well practiced at javascript, so tend to avoid it whenever possible.

This is really great news. It will make for a much simpler Manager to maintain, and it will also enable us maintain the "legacy" design and functionality. Thanks Raymond!

Can you explain exactly what the splitter control will do?
The splitter will work the way frames with broders now do. It will allow you to adjust the size of the left or right pane in a vertical split. Or the top and bottom pane in a horizontal split. I'll first make this into a TV control that can be used on a website.
