Ditto [*id*] call Error!!!

Hello... i.m using ditto to call some children pages...

the parent page ID is (9)

[[Ditto? &parents=`9` &display=`all` &total=`all` &sortDir=`ASC` &tpl=`image-title-and-description`]] Works Well!!!

But i need to use this code in other pages, so i.m trying to do this automatically, something like:

[[Ditto? &parents=`[*id*]` &display=`all` &total=`all` &sortDir=`ASC` &tpl=`image-title-and-description`]]

but ditto is calling a lot of pages, home, contact us, everything


i just need to replace [*id*] for the current id document, to show the document children...

This should work, I do it all the time. Does it work if you call the snippet [!uncached?!]
