  • This is my first MODx site.
I have been porting the content of the old broken site, with a few layout adjustments, into the MODx CMS.
I would very much appreciate any feedback.

    Many thanks

    • First thing that came to mind is that you might want to do something more with the <title> tags for SEO improvement. I tend to use site_name (from the system settings) and longtitle or description (from the resource).

The second thing I thought was that while the font is fine for headings and titles and such, it’s not really such a good idea for main content text (at least not to my not-so-young-any-more eyes).

      • Hi Susan
Thank you for your feedback. And also, many thanks for your excellent MODx tutorial site you have provided.
Good point (and I agree) about the fancy font used for the body text.
The site owner, (who made the original site) is kind of attached to it.
I hope to convince him to use something more legible.
Thanks also for the heads up with the SEO. Still lots to complete here.
I think this is one of the most important (and often most neglected) parts of website backroom tasks.
MODx is great the way it provides all these ready made SEO data fields.
