Back in the day when I worked for a Dutch web design company wannabe I guess we developed about that many sites in a few months, before they died. A few nice sites, mostly just online brochure sites. But it paid for my little iBook.

They did really dumb stuff like buying a mailing list application for 400 Euros from some affiliate of the franchise operator they were part of (a big Canadian web development franchise), when you can buy the app direct from the developers for something like $80, or even better use one of the online services. The affiliate wouldn’t even release the application to the purchaser; you had to pay for another contract with them to install, configure and maintain it (which was in violation of their agreement as resellers for the application; that service could be offered but not required). They also tended to buy templates for hundreds of Euros when I could easily adapt very similar free templates. Maybe that’s why they went out of business...

Working by a small dutch designcompany (6 peeps). I’m the only webdesigner here, i build the design as a full working website in modx, this forum is very usefull for me hehe.

I know MODx pretty well (Evo anyway), and am not too bad at PHP and MySQL coding. But I really stink as a designer; I do best as a freelance developer working on sites where the design is already planned and just needs to be implemented.

Hehe, well i can also design but it takes a bit more time to be satisfied.
I have my diploma for Graphic designer and 1 year multimedia, i’ve learned all by myself basicly.
There are not many peeps who can do both very well, programming and designing..
I started with Flash AS2 actually but nowadays no more flashsites.
