I only have one snippet which is basically the Xbox Live status, the rest is all chunks.
I followed
splittingreds Twitter and
archives tutorial for the modules in the sidebar.
For the Xbox Live Status module I made a snippet following
this tutorial.
The search is a simple search form that I styled with css.
The blog I followed the blog
tutorial in the MODx documentation, I made a chunk template for blog entries so they are each contained in the rounded boxes etc.
Some simple jquery hover effects to display the read me button on each blog post.
The portfolio section is wayfinder call of a folder with each clients page here’s what it looks like in the manager.
I used a chunk for each company to display the items developed with each company name, then I set up my tpl to call the chunk and set the id of each of the wayfinder results based on their titles.
This allows me to have MODx insert automatically the chunk and the image of each company without any further coding, I just have to make sure that the image name matches the titles.
The gallery is the regular MODx gallery plugin using colorBox following the instructions from wildcat found on this
post.
The Contact form is using Bobs SPForm.
I have 3 themes 1 for the blog, one for the main site and one for the content of each blog post.
I wish I really had more time to make a proper tutorial on how to create a site in MODx and let others know how ridiculously simple it is to use MODx compared to other CMS out there.
When I get some free time I will make a proper tutorial about how I did my site from PSD concept to HTML code and you and many others will know about it.
If you have any other questions or need any clarification just let me know I will be more than happy to help
