Hi all
After hammering the boards with questions, my site has enough content to "launch" so I thought I’d better say ’Hi’ properly!
Daz (you can work out the ’sumo’ bit yourself), Bedford, UK - keen amateur astronomer (which is what my site is all about), chairman of local astro society, admin of
stargazerslounge
Built from scratch in Modx after being recommended by a friend - and grateful I am too! I have used WP before, but was never happy with the lack of control. The power that Modx gives me is just great and the effort that goes into the snippets is just amazing! I am now planning to update my local astro society site in Modx to give more people the ability to update (and reduce my workload in the process
)
Learning CSS is the biggest challenge for me at the moment, but I am getting there. I found a useful
web developer toolbar for FF that shows you the CSS behind the scenes - been invaluable for working stuff out - that and my friend Grant!
Anyway, the site is
http://darrenjehan.me.uk - still very much WIP, but enough to launch with!
