A modX Historical Movies site - Feedback needed

This is the first site I’ve done with modX. I’m definitely learning as I go, but modX has really proven itself so far.

I like the overall look of the page. Colours etc. I dont like the double navigation, triple navigation. I find it is confusing. And the green line floating halfway through the second horizontal navigation I think, is not realy nice. Seems to me that you need to rethink the navigation. The look of it is too complex and it does not match the rest of the design. But hey I like sites to be way simpler as a matter of taste, so maybe someone else thinks different?

Edit, yeah have to compliment you indeed, for a first MOdx site its really good, and I understand the problem with the navigation, because you have loads of content there, so good work!

The page looks a little too busy for my liking - too much going on in the front page, and the navigation is a bit confusing like Frank said, but otherwise the site loads great. Looks like you put a good amount of work into it

Impressive for your first MODx site!

tbh, I don’t like the site’s look + feel. The color combinations don’t work for me, and you squeeze too much into a page. No whitespace whatsoever. I feel like the content (images, text) must soon suffocate
