Nimja shows a new way to comment!

The more loyal visitors here might remember me from such useful things as Flash snippets, PDF generating code and more.

But now... Now we have something even more amazing to show you *drumroll*

Threads

This is a (mostly) completed snippet that mixes the best of comments with the best of forum threads. Basically, it’s an open system (using Captcha for anonymous posts) that allows quick, easy to read threads and page-based comments. And of course manual/custom discussions!

Just check it out: http://nimja.com/comments

Why have I done this? Well, forums are way too clunky and obtrusive, but comments on almost 1000 pages(yes, I have that much content ) is not easy for people to read or reply on.

Oh, and look at the tons of stories, comic, music, poetry and more while you’re there

edit:

Some minor fixes after it’s gone live.

By the way, I’d expected at least -some- response here . I’m tempted to put this in the snippet forum as more people might want my comment system.

Very nice! I suggest you post a new thread in the in-development section and get it into the repository so folks can access it more easily. Good job! (I missed this first time around)

hmm, definitely looks interesting. Would be interested to test this! If you do get it in snippet form for the rest of us to play with that would be great!

Alright alright ^_^

Oh, small improvements to the system, better support for IE and other stuff.

God, how I detest cross-browser issues.
