A friend of mine tipped me off to MODx this past fall, and actually got me started, installing and making the template for a site I'd intended to build in HTML. Before I knew it, I was hooked! It's not so much in the build as in the upkeep that I find ultimate delight in MODx. Especially when a client wants one little change across 275 pages..
So here are the sites I've built so far using MODx. All are my own designs, from scratch.
Make-up:
Mangos Make-Up Artistry
Using MODx, Wayfinder, MaxiGallery primarily, this is the site where I learned to swim on my own!
Graphic Novel:
Native Comic
Rebuilt and redesigned this site after the eleventy-billionth Wordpress crack attempt. This is the site where I started to think "I wonder how I could...?" and started to play more and more with different snippets and interactions between resources. (Update: the comic got relaunched and a new site was built in Revo in 2011)
Martial Arts:
Han Dol Martial Arts
Redesigning an old website to increase its updatability and usefulness as a resource so that students and potential students will return again and again. Still fine-tuning an enrollment page to be added later.
Sales:
twigling.com
I built this website for a friend who sculpts and casts artist ball jointed dolls. This is the first Revo site I completed.
