Hey all,
I am about to make
http://gti.websitewelcome.com/~smallfri go live and as I look at the pages load, it is loading pretty slowly in IE. It will show it the bottom left the number of items needed to load, and then usually when it gets to 64 items left it hangs for a second or two. I have gzipped all scripts, tried to load them in the bottom of the page, and yet it runs slowly. I especially noticed it on
http://gti.websitewelcome.com/~smallfri/staff.html in Internet explorer 7, and 8. I am using the png fix from twin helix and think that that script is the culprit. Any advice and counsel would be extremely appreciated though as I am having a bear of a time debugging this. I trid to validate the code and it is saying that one of the scripts is throwing errors. Here is a link to the validation results:
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fgti.websitewelcome.com%2F~smallfri%2Fstaff.html&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0&verbose=1&user-agent=W3C_Validator%2F1.654. I got that from the simple jquery accordion tutorial page at
http://www.i-marco.nl/weblog/jquery-accordion-menu/. I validated his script and it validated fine. The only things are different are that I’m running my script in noConflict mode and that My selectors are more specific than his. Any ideas?
Thanks all!
