    Hi,

I have been using Website Baker for a while now, but i wanted a CMS that could do more. So after a search i tested Modx, but the first time it seemed a bit to complicated for me. Thank God i persisted because within the last 4 months I built 3 websites using Modx.

www.desse.nl is my own portfolio website.

www.dadim.nl and www.movingskills.nl are 2 websites built for a client.

    Regards,

    Tyronne

      Hi,

I’m a beginner with modX and have just one question, I know this is not the place I should post it, but your first site (http://www.desse.nl/) is the perfect example of what my problem is: is anyone willing to give me tips/advices !?

-> What is the best way to manage those 3 boxes of text on the homepage ? How did you do it ? Is it static text put in your template ? Is it a single document ? Or 3 documents retrieved through Ditto ? Or chunks ? Or did you use TVs ? huh

      Thanks.

        Hi,

The way I did was by putting 3 divs in a document and floating them left with css.

There may be better ways to do this but this worked for me.

        Regards,

I see. But it means that the css as to be part of your document (<div class="box">...</div>) !?
I’m not sure it’s a good way to include css in the document, I thought documents should only include html tags ?

you can use [*content*] + 2 additional TVs. e.g. create a new TV "content2", Input Type -> "Rich Text" and place it in your template [*content2*] ... same goes with the third one
