    Greetings everyone!

Coming from a background working with phpwebsite, migrating to the clunkery of Adobe Contribute, my company has finally found our official CMS (er, make that CMF) -- MODx smiley

We’re building a magazine publication website on the MODx foundation, our first commercial use of this fabulous framework. Going into this project with only a rudimentary knowledge of MODx, we’re already finding ourselves easily adding and modifying snippets and modules to make our customer’s site requests come to life.

Thank you, developers and contributors, for this incredibly powerful website development tool.

    Mike

I’m contemplating the same path, how long did you experiment with Modx before making the jump?

No experimentation. I perused the forums, looked at demo sites, checked out the add-ons, and decided that this would be the platform to develop on. I’m building a magazine publication site as my first project with MODx, and so far it’s been a great experience.

I should mention that I am a seasoned programmer, so it has been fairly easy for me to install add-ons and pick up on the API details to roll my own scripts, and otherwise leverage much of this framework’s potential for my needs.
