We were using Typo3 and while it is probably more powerful than modx, what use is power when you can’t figure out how to use it, right? We moved to modx with our new web design and have been really happy. I’m the code guy (Erik) and I was supported by our fantastic in-house Graphic Designer Ariseli.

I’m most proud of the "Can’t Find It" menu at the top of the page. Thank you jQuery!

Let me know what you think:

Fantastic design and well done implementing everything into Modx..

If I were you I’d nip over to the main site and add it to the gallery there...

Have you got a link to the Jquery you used for the can’t find it menu ??

      Thanks

Well done indeed. Out of curiosity, what in Typo3 can you do that can’t be done in MODx that makes it more powerful, learning curve aside?

Thanks for the compliment, I wasn’t sure it was gallery material, but if you think so, I’ll do it.

I wrote the jquery myself, I think that part is about 4 lines of code, feel free to steal it, it’s all in the functions.js and pretty well commented. If something doesn’t make sense feel free to ask.

The most noticeable thing was scheduling things down to the paragraph. It can be simulated with ditto in modx, but it was native in typo and quite handy for us. I’ve worked around that fairly well now though. Typo’s permission system was quite a bit more thorough as well. I could assign a volunteer to be able to edit a single paragraph on a single page. Again, not the end of the world.

What link is it I need for the jq file ??

The JS file in question: http://www.nsb.org/functions.js

Very nicely done and I agree it should be in main modx gallery.

Ok, by request it has been submitted. At least I think it has, does the form normally return you back to the same form when it’s done? I didn’t see any errors.
