    Hi there,
my name is Gianfranco and I am an Italian twenty-nine years old front-end developer.

The site I show you is Espatriare.net, a social service offering the possibility to create a link among Italians emigrated abroad for not being satisfied of the quality of work and life in Italy.

I have developed Espatriare.net on my own, as a personal project. The site is under beta test yet.

I have converted all the MODx snippets’forms (like eForm, FDM, WebLoginPE, ..) in ajax-form using jQuery. The same is made for the login via facebook connect; the GMaps are populated by JSON using Ditto, and so on.

    Any feedback is appreciated!

wow - Gianfranco - that’s an impressive website you’ve accomplished!

one thing i noticed is, that the buttons at the top don’t respond immediately (could be my browser though FF3 WinXP), and the one to the right "Partecipa" isn’t active yet i guess...maybe add some kind of styling to the hover state of those buttons ( or differnt styling when you actually click on them ) ...an additional possibility to zoom out would be great too smiley

other than that an outstanding project you’ve got there!

        ciao, jan

*edit: "buttons at the top don’t respond immediately" now it’s responding quick ("Partecipa" too)...was my connection

Zoom would be a nice feature and I think the initial setting should be a little wider. It’s a long way to scroll to the USA where I think there are a few of your potential contributors. wink

Hi Gianfranco, I’m Roberto, another italian user of MODx laugh

I am currently developing a site for a museum, I’ll publish link when it’s finished smiley

You did a great work; may I ask you to have some private messages (in italian tongue) to share tips and tricks about MODx? I’m not good at Javascript and AJAX, whereas it seems to me that you are.

I want to make the site I’m developing "younger" with some AJAX (consider that now it is STATIC HTML laugh), and I also want to avoid the usage of Flash as much as I can.

BTW, I’m going off topic laugh

I remark, you did a nice job, and you showed MODx’s power laugh

              Cheers,

              Roberto
