Hi all,
I’m basically new to web design, and not a programmer (I built a super-simple static site in Dreamweaver many years ago).
I was going to try to build this site for my union, which represents part-time faculty, with Joomla. I got started, and then happened across ModX, and I liked what I read about it. Well, for someone starting at a very basic level, I found ModX much more difficult than Joomla. However, as I figured things out, I appreciated the simple genius of ModX.
The best thing, for me, was that the rest of our exec now finds it easy to update the site. Someone put up a bunch of videos while I was away, without even having to ask any questions, and I thought this was pretty good for a group that is mostly Arts students!
Wayfinder is also great, the pdf by Kogondo helped me enormously. Ditto for ditto.
So thank-you to the developers and everyone else who has contributed to ModX. I will be appreciative of any comments, ideas for improvement, pointing out mistakes, etc.
My site is
www.cupe3908.org
Cheers

Stephen.
