As the title says I found this cool iPhone framework I would love to use with ModX but I am not too familiar with javascript.

I am an Interactive Media Developer that has mainly worked on Flash and HTML and recently started using ModX which I love BTW.

So if anyone is interested in helping me port this framework so the community can use it just send me a message or an email.

I look forward to hear from the community smiley.

    Thanks.

      Hi,
      this is a great idea.
It’s a long time I was wondering were to start to port my websites to iPhone / Androïd.
I’ll followup and see if I can help, but I’m not too good at programing and I also have limited time.
I was wondering, before going into magic framework you found, did you checked at other frameworks to be sure to start with the best approach from day one ?
      I’m thinking of :
      - JQtouch (http://www.jqtouch.com/)
      - iWebkit (http://iwebkit.net/)
      - IUI (http://code.google.com/p/iui/)
I think there is one or 2 others good ones out there (theses was the most known and then advanced I would say). In the mean time they did not really start from html5 approach when they have been initiated.

Note: Modx is a so great CMS, I’m surprised your initiative looks like it have not been proposed yet ...

      oho.

        Hey Oho thanks for replying.

To answer your question, yes I have looked into pretty much all iPhone frameworks currently out, from iUi, jQtouch, webApp, magicFramework, iWebKit even iPad framework sencha touch but thats all javascript based sad

I have followed the automated iPhone site with jQtouch but that gave me results I didn’t want, I managed to port jQtouch to MODx but it only works with 2 levels of navigation so far using wayfinder.

I have stopped working on this since I am working on a iPad framework for a webApp I am developing and using MODx as the CMS to drive it all I have made some great progress but still want to make it better and add more features.

Once I finish with the iPad framework I will pickup the iPhone framework and keep fine tuning it.

I will post more info when I have it working like I want it to.

        Thanks.
