I just finished this site and the girls who run it are uploading new content now. The site is about boo and movie reviews for youth, written by youth. It’s run by a couple of teenagers. The site includes a lot of TVs, including the ability to upload podcasts, movies and Amazon Affiliate links.

By the way, the kids decided the site colors etc.

I like it, nice! I don’t mind the colours, except for the hover colour on the menu....I would have liked it to stand out more. I’m also not sure about the 3 column layout on the review pages...simply because of the reduced real estate and the empty space on the right when the review is long.

Not a biggy, but wondering why the top padding/margin between the mainimage div (also bookimage, etc) and the h2 in the contentinner div seems to be different between "contribute" on the one side and "books", "contact" and "movies". The "home" one also seems to be different. There’s just the slight jump visible when your compare the respective pages. Just my 2 cents.

Otherwise the site is very well laid out...I do like it! Good job!

What’s your experience with the use of lots of TVs? Do the clients complain about the scrolling? What are you using for the podcast? Many thanks.

      cheers/k

The right side will be filled more as they load content into the site. Also, the reviews that are posted are the longest that will be on the site. For the template variables they find it really easy. They way the site is set up, if there isn’t a podcast to load up then nothing shows in the area.

To create the podasts? Garage Band. It’s way too easy, and fun. They learned what they needed in about 5 minutes.

          Thx

Did you see my update above, about the "shifting" h2s?

Had to re-work the main top menu. We’ve added a ’Radio’ section for their podcasts. /K - if you’re watching - those issues should have cleared up.

Hmmm, I have cleared my browser cache but the issues still seem to be present (I am viewing in FF 3.5). See the screenshot

@/k - HA! Ever been too close to something to see it? Thanks. That I can get to right away.

Anyone ever used jQuery to display video (like I did with the podcasts)?

Also, I wrote a quick review for my site if anyone is interested: http://impress-design.com/Creating-Just-Say-Know
