A couple of sites

Here’s my first two sites with MODx.

I was not responsible for the designs, much as I would like to say I was - the designer gave me .psd’s for every page which I then sliced up and made templates from.

How did you do the request forms in the oakshamlet.com site? Is that eForm or a custom setup. And what modal effect is that? I like the stripes in the background.

Yes, the forms are all eForm that make use of prettyCheckboxes.js , and the modal windows are customized instances of jquery.colorbox.js - I have also use this for the Gallery.

Are you sure that a simple opt-out box (without an explanation that their data will be used to send them the newsletter) complies with Privacy and Electronic Communications ( EC Directive) Regulations? From what I understood of the law, it requires "prior consent", which while not necessarily meaning an opt-in option, at least requires some kind of notice that informs them that by submitting their details they are consenting to having them used for your mailing list, with an opt-out option. Maybe at least a link to a privacy policy page (which you don’t seem to have)?
