    Yo guys, haven’t been on here in awhile, but Just finished up a new site for a client! Tell me what you guys think:

    tbs-clean.com
    toledobuildingservices.com

    I didn’t really use too much of ModX’s features, but it still was great to build with cool

      Very nice. smiley

      One issue I see in both FF and IE7 is that the header photo loses and regains its right margin as you move from page to page and (I think) the width of the red section changes as well.

      Are you using the same template for each page? If not, you probably should be.

        Hey thanks for tip! I actually just noticed the same thing happens in Chrome, but just for one page...

        And yeah, all the pages are using the same template. In fact, I didn’t even make much of the templating dynamic even. Even the nav isn’t using Wayfinder undecided hah

        Here’s my template...
        <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
        <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
        <head>
        <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />
        <title>[(site_name)] - [*pagetitle*]</title>
        <style type="text/css">
        <!--
        body, html {
        	background-color: #993333;
        	margin-left: auto;
        	margin-right: auto;
        	margin-top: 0px;
        }
        body,td,th {
        	font-family: Trebuchet MS;
        }

          I don’t see anything obvioue. Maybe the content for some of the pages is larger than the space you’ve given it?

            I have a table or two...maybe I should put something in the CSS for a maximum-width for that area?

              Any reason why you are using tables for the site structure? Just curious.. wink

              cheers/k

                Hah, maybe because it’s easier in the end? tongue

                Also, question: The client is not liking the graphic for the bottom bar I currently have up. Any ideas?

                  latedude32, I love the idea for the graphic at the bottom, but I think the client’s problem is that it looks old. Perhaps you meant it this way, but I bet they’d like the same graphic (or a similar skyline) that looks sleek and modern. Do grayscale instead of sepia, and use a sharper image or make that one sharper, and I think the result would be pretty nice. laugh

                  A related idea is to use a picture of a skyline reflected on water. That always looks really cool. laugh
