http://www.julianaschool.net is made in modx but why is it so slow?

We made http://www.julianaschool.net in modx 0.9.6.3
But its verry slow is there anyone that can tell me what it can be?
is it the js used for images slide show and also for flash?
or is it the flash?
or maybe the host?
I cant seem to figger out what it is tat slows the site down so much

Please let me know if any of you know why its so slow!

According to Safari’s Network Timeline you are loading >3.4Mb of images!

Try to optimize your images and js and place all js that can be moved to the bottom, it should make your site a bit quicker

Are your JS files minimized? You should do that!

A couple of other things:

- Three CSS files with a file extension of .html may cost a few milliseconds -- even though the response header passes them with the correct Content-type, they seem not to be cached as CSS files (by Firefox, at least) and will reload on every page they are called

- The following three broken images are costing you time at the end of the page-load process:
