I was asked to take over a site, that had been developed using DotNetNuke, and improve it. After a short while, I realized that DNN was not the right CMS to add new functionality. I looked around and after looking at two dozen Open Source CMS, I found that MODx is by far the best CMS for my purpose. My main criteria were having a good security track record, flexible user access control, and easy extensibility. In these respects MODx came on top of all others by a mile.

I re-developed the site using MODx and users of the website are quite impressed with the improvement they see compared to the previous platform.

Unfortunately I can’t post the URL of the site because when you have confidential data on your site, advertising its platform gives one less thing to potential hackers to figure out. But, it doesn’t diminish in any way my appreciation of the great work of the MODx team. Good job guys!
