Just wanted to give some props to the MODx team for this very reliable and powerful Open Source CMS. I’ve used it on many projects and I need to share the oldest one with you again because it was upgraded from 3 versions of MODx and even changed servers without ever crashing or acting up. it’s stronger and nicer than ever and I can’t wait for RV

    Here it is again

Oh, yeah, it’s tough as nails grin

I’ve got a four-language site going since before MODx split from Etomite, what was that, 4 - 5 years ago now? I used the MODx extensions because I needed web-user login, which Etomite did not have natively. It’s been upgraded with every version release, and has changed hosts three times, as well as getting a complete template change and a matching custom manager template.

The only hiccups involved the different character set settings of the different MySQL servers, each time easily fixed by the hosting companies’ tech support.

Which reminds me that I need to backup the sites I’m managing; I’ve never actually used any of the backups, but one of these days I will need it, and I’d be a lot happier with a current backup!

        Right on!

When something can adapt so easily to new environments, I call it a great thing.
