Hi there, Im Christian Isai, webdesigner I’ve been reading a lot about modx and I want to do my first attempt of making a full webpage with it, I only have experience with wordpress and flatpress, ONce I installed joomla but didnt like it at all, Also try drupal, but they are really square when you want to design for them....
IM now in a project for a friend that has a Astronomical Society in the university but they have no Idea about design .. (you can what they have now in
www.nibiru.com) As you can see its a bit.. well like early 90’s hehehe.. so Far I just made the home.. its going to be like this.. there are 2 versions one for day and one for night... (I dont know how to do this I guess an "if" that cheks the server time.. got to google for it
but i know is not that big deal...)
Its in spanish but I guess you get the idea, a menu on top, then some sort of banner with the society info then 3 columns 1 for news, 1 for events and one for things that are planed but not with a date yet... then a feature article and some sponsors..
Hope it doesnt get to complicated being this my first MODx,Webpage
I’ll love to hear what you think about the design and any advice that you can give me
I’ll show you the second template thats going to be for the articles and other stuff when I finish it..
btw, sorry for any mistake in my writing english is not my first language
thx in advance for the advices
-----edit--
I forgot to tell Im going to release this as a template when its finished(that was the deal with my friend because he is not paying!!
) , just with another planets, maybe the earth and mars or something like that!
