    A big thank you to the Modx Community for this website.

    This is my first website using Modx CMS, and so far, I am extremely impressed with the flexibility and functionality of Modx.

    I would like to share with you this website, please take a look and I’d love to hear some feedback!

    We’ve had a great response from visitors to the website, and the charity are very happy too.

    I’ve had a lot of fun developing this website, and have several others coming up!

    Thank you Modx!

      Nice and clean design laugh

      I see that you use Blueprint, but that you do not use the grid classes (span-xx) on your div’s. Why didn’t you use the grid? Do you have a good reason for that. I build almost all my sites with this grid and it works fantastic!
        with regards,

        Thank you grin

        The design is a huge improvement of their previous website... which was ghastly!

        I certainly do use the span-xx classes, admittedly, I use it sparingly. This is also my first website using blueprint, so I’m not entirely sure if I’m using it correctly. rolleyes

        I know one thing, with blueprint and Modx, developing, is much much easier! ha.

        But you’re right, the grid works fantastically.

          Very nice design, great job grin

          Q: How does blueprint make it easier?

            Well, blueprint has well used CSS already set-up and ready to go.
            Blueprint uses classes, for grid-based layout:

            class= container:

            Container has a width of 950px, margin 0 auto, so it’s centered.
            Blueprint splits the container div into 24 columns, which can be assigned to individual div elements for example:

            <div class="container">
                 <div class="span-12">
                          Column 1
                  </div>

                 <div class="span-12 last">
                       Column 2
                 </div>
            </div>

            This code will produce a page with two columns, each one with a width of 465px

            You can get into super-awesome-nested columns (I believe!)

            for example:

            <div class="container">
                 <div class="span-12">
                         <div class="span-6">Col1, inner col1</div>
                         <div class="span-6">Col1, inner col2</div>
                  </div>

                 <div class="span-12 last">
                       Column 2
                 </div>
            </div>

            I’ve only just started working with this framework, so I could be very wrong with some of my coding, but seems fun so far!

                PM me if you want more info about Blueprint (I don’t want to go offtopic here wink)
                I have build several sites with it and it is really a great way to build sites fast!

                  Aaah yes, there are a few without alias, I appreciate them being pointed out... pesky critters!
