    First off MODx is great!

I do have a question I’m stumped on.
I have my index.html page and all is good.
I am using XAMPP to develop at the moment.
When I go to http://localhost/My_Site/ < I still see the MODx home page, why is that???

If I go to http://localhost/My_Site/index.html < All is good.

I tried to unpublish the Modx_Home and I get this message "Document is linked to site_start variable and cannot be unpublished!"

    What am I missing??

    Thank you,

You’ll need to go into the site Configuration (Tools -> Configuration in the Manager) and set the site’s start page to be the resource ID of your new Home page.

Usually I’ll just edit the original resource ID 1 to avoid this kind of confusion. In fact, I rarely if ever actually delete any resources; I just unpublish them and later repurpose them by editing them.

Not a matter of persuasion, a matter of time and energy! Well, and eyesight these days sad
