Casio Exilim Poland Website by PLEJ + little addon

We (www.plej.pl) have just finished works over the new website for Casio Exilim (digital photography brand) Poland.
The difference form recent project is that we’ve focused on implementing more flash technology to this site. MODx is really great for such things especially with its XML feature.

addon:

www.szpitalbezbolu.pl - very simple site but the building process of the main menu was interesting and fun. The menu is of course dynamically build based on MODx structure.

www.parasoldlazycia.org - another simple project

Very nice sites. The menu effects are really impressive.

You should check the Casio site in Firefox 3 - it looks completely unstyled, compared to IE7.

IIRC, that happened to me on a site where I was using base_path where I should have been using base_url in a call to regClientCSS(). IE7 still found the .CSS file but FF didn’t.

Just change the relative paths to absolute ones in the stylesheet:
background-image: url(../../images/tlo.jpg);
-> background-image: url(/images/tlo.jpg); or even
background-image: url(http://www.aparaty-casio.pl/images/tlo.jpg);

nice sites, thanks for posting.

Can you please give me a screenshot...? We’re trying to check in every browser and in my FF3, Opera, IE7 and Safari every thing looks good...
Thank for comments

Don’t know why, but today everything looks as it should in FF3. Maybe just a temporary glitch in the matrix

Maybe... Happens all the time

Once again - thanks.

Great looking site vvooki, nice work.

With the Firefox glitch, I didn’t see it on your site but I find FF3 will occasionally not load a stylesheet, and will need to be restarted, then there’s no problem.

Can you elaborate on the benefits of MODx and XML/Flash? I have been implementing a few flash image galleries and they work well in MODx site – at the moment I have been recommending editing the XML manually through the File Manager – is there maybe a better way, or does anyone know of a way where the tags aren’t visible (so I don’t spook the client ).
