    Hello there!

As if it’s not obvious, I am new to these forums and to ModX. I have been reading some of the amazing posts over the past week and figured that it would be dumb of me not to sign up and hopefully contribute to some of the conversations in the future.

I just got thrown into the world of ModX when I took a new job. To be honest, I had never really heard of the CMS and framework before, but I am loving it! My learning has consisted of alot of reading and research so far, but I am about to the stage where I can dive in and get my hands wet with some editing.

I guess I should share a little bit about myself...

I am a web developer/designer in the state of Arkansas, USA. I am still in college and try to work in any free time that I have. I am working for a company that contracted out their website creation and now am trying to make sense of what was created and how it can be improved. It’s a pretty large site, so I have my work cut out for me. I also am focusing on database design and administration in college. I guess my focus is a little wide-spread for the moment laugh .

Well, that’s me in a nutshell! Thanks in advance for everyone for the amazing learning material and support that I’ve already read on here and am sure I will see in the future.

Not really; as you’ll discover as you continue working with MODx, it’s all in the database. Any good web application has to have a very well-thought-out and efficient data structure.
