Websites and charities go together like peas and gravy. The ModX site is allowing this Melbourne charity to keep all of their info up to date without too many web smarts, and also runs this fundraising campaign subsite (link below), complete with blog and Jot notes, not to mention a little jquery goodness. During the campaign (just finished) the site also ran all of the event registrations, writing via parsed online forms to MySQL, along with confirmation emails, and a members area full of event resources. Seamless.

Very nice site. I like the design. grin

Would you say that the website was an essential tool for the campaign? And how did using MODx play a part in making it happen? Looks like an interesting case study wink

dev_cw : the process started last year, getting people used to using the web to get and give information rather than the old paper ways. This year the presence was ramped up a little, with more resources and rewards online, which was handy because the supporting team were stretched as it was. ModX allowed the whole site to sit within the existing corporate modx site which meant that no training was needed to have staff updating content etc. The next logical step would be integrating it with the existing donations system and having people raise money online, but maybe next year...
