Not sure what I did with this current site I’m working on but somehow the quick edit bar on the front end is broken on any of the pages that I have multiple TV’s on.

Take a look at the attachment you’ll see that it’s just not there. I’m guessing somehow I disabled the jquery that makes it run, but I haven’t done anything differently in these sites than I have in any others I’ve used Modx for.

Probably something simple. But, I’m just not good with code.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The code for the template is below:

    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

Nobody? I’m a bit desperate here. I’ve never seen this happen in ModX and this is probably my 10th site. I really need for the front end editing to work for my client. That’s always my biggest sell to clients for using ModX.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is the plugin installed right = check if the system events are selected right.

I did the standard install as I always do. Not sure how to check the system events - would that be in the plugin itself? Also, the quickmanager is working on my one template and it also works on the default Modx Host template. I did try to remove everything from a copy of my template to see if it was something in the template itself, but as I removed everything one item at a time, it did not fix it. I had it down to just the [*content*] call and it still didn’t work. This is very strange.

Check your URL; are you logged in to the Manager at domain.com, but the page you’re looking at is www.domain.com (or vice versa)?

Do you have any other plugins installed on this site? Perhaps the plugin order of execution needs to be adjusted.

Is it loading at all? Is the jquery library being loaded? Check with a View Source on a page where you’re logged in. Do you have any Mootools libraries getting loaded (such as AjaxSearch in Ajax mode)? Maybe you need to configure it to work in no-conflict mode?

Do you get any javascript errors? In FF check tools->Error console.

Check the plugin configuration; perhaps somehow it got turned off for that template? Look down the list of configuration items; there is one that will disable the plugin for certain documents, and some that control its behavior on a template basis.

I have the plugins installed that are in the default install of modx. Nothing else.

The jquery library is NOT being loaded on the templates with the problem. I checked that first and noticed that the styles for QM are also not being loaded.

I looked at the configuration, but did not see a place to select or deselect specific templates. I’m going to compare the settings on this site to my other sites that are working fine.

One note, this is the first time I’ve used ModX on 1&1 hosting. Not sure if that makes a difference. Everything else seems fine. But I did nothing different this time with the install or the creation of my templates and it seems to work on a few of the templates. I’m truly baffled.

              Thanks for trying to help.

I’ve played with this thing a ton and there doesn’t seem to be an reason why this is behaving this way.

Does anyone have any other ideas what might be going on?

Has anyone out there run into this before? I’m baffled.

                    Just found this thread: http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,50904.0.html

It was the exact same problem that I was having. I had a missing closing tag. Totally my fault. Just glad that I found that thread!

Thanks for all of your help.
