Built this site a few months ago as a freelancer for a large regional ad agency in my area.

    http://www.crosscountychamber.com/

the business member directory is built using pages within a parent directory and TV’s for all the custom fields. The overall site template (which changes with the seasons) is all controlled via template variables. contact form is writing to custom DB table and back-end managed with phpmyEdit module. the events calendars (although not being heavily used yet) are based on custom snippet calling documents within parent directories (could not use Ditto due to specific date range querying of multiple TV’s). you’ll see Google Maps API errors in some areas b/c have not been updated to production API keys.
