Franchise website build with MODx

Hello all,

I’ve been asked to bid on a project for a franchise chain of restaurants. Has anyone build a website for a franchise based on MODx?
The main of the site is central controlled and every restaurant will be able to maintain there own specific pages.
I don’t see any problems for that (different users maintaining there own set of page), but I like to show an example of it in my proposal.

I remember someone posting a site with the same specs as you (multiple restaurants, controlled by one modx installation), but alas, I can’t remember who it was or even if that project was actually ever completed... maybe do a search for "restaurant"?

"No plugin, manual setup for each account unfortunately. I just did a db dump of the default content and reinstalled MODx for each. Actually was a pretty smooth deployment process per subsite all said and done."

Manual installs were the only solution I could come up with for a similar project I’m doing.


I agree its frustrating, but I’m also somewhat relieved to see that some great developers here have also found that its the best available solution for right now.
