Howdy, I'm editor

Howdy guys -- I’m a graduate student in journalism and big fan of ModX.

My most recent creation.

I’m interested in the array of multimedia: both content and design. I’m into CSS/HTML, typography, video and photography; I’m also getting into programming (PHP and some Python), and just finished my first DIY microelectronic project.

This spring I think I’m going to use ModX to develop a free framework for a digital journalism-based newsroom.

Nice site, cool use typography. My only issue would be the large header, when going from page to page if the screen is not fully open it is hard to notice that the content has changed.

Edit: I am referring to the header when going through the channels, after entering a story it is fine.

Great looking site Taylor... would love to see a vertical distribution put together for other like-minded individuals! Your casks in the photos are probably made of stainless steel though (not "teal").

Beautiful site. Great typeface choices.

You might try drop shadows for the images on the secondary pages. I think it would make them look warmer.

Thanks for all the great feedback!

I’m going to be finishing up the site over the next week, and will keep you guys updated.

Interesting site.

I just quickly noticed that the menu on the bottom right increases by 1px when a list item is hovered over (in FF); you might want to look at that.

While I’ve got an audience...

Does anyone know of an existing snippit or code chunk to call my most popular posts?

I imagine I could use Page Hit Counter
