Lots of bells and whistles in this site. I was contracted to build a CMS for Centennial Airport, http://centennialairport.com, one of the 25 busiest airports in the U.S. The site uses the following:

    • Ditto - lots
    • Wayfinder
    • Multiple versions of eForm
    • Site Map
    • AJAX Search
It also uses a couple of modules:

    • easy Newsletter
    • Kalender
I also made extensive use of Web Login. There are five separate news sections that different departments will be updating regularly. There are also a couple of different Manager Users.

The Header actually uses a javascript image blend. I thought about using flash for this but the solution was pretty easy and lightweight using javascript.

Let me know what you think!

Very nice design, great to see it in a useful corporate implementation.

A couple of minor (validation) issues. First XHTML 1.0 Trans will spit out an error for unencoded & signs even as parameter delimiters in URLs. Second Kalendar seems to be sticking the CSS link into the body where it is loaded. The <link> element may only appear in the <head> of a document but I am not sure how to address that. I guess you could pull it out of the Kalendar template and stick it into a TV or something.

            Keep up the great work!

            Cheers,

            Jay

Chuck - good to know there is someone else in the area that uses MODx. I was lecturing at a local college to the Advanced Web Design class and they were asking me all about my CMS of choice. Unfortunately, they are so new to the biz that I couldn’t really talk a lot about it to them. I realized then that I don’t know any web guys that use MODx. A couple of guys use Joomla!, but that’s it.

Joomla was next on my list until I discovered MODx. I cut my CMS teeth for nearly 4 years on e107, Typo3 & Wordpress. I decided to commit to learning MODx because it leveraged existing web standards in XHTML & CSS while utilizing PHP, MySQL and Javascript. It was initially tough for me because I had picked up a lot of bad programming habits from all the CMS hacking. I’m much better with web site design and construction thanks to MODx and the good folks that frequent these forums.

Welcome to the MODx crew and watch out, it’s going to get crowded around here as the good word continues to spread about MODx.

Great site. Inspiring lots of good ideas.
Just a quick item... there’s a typo on the Newsletter Sign Up page: "...subscribe or unscubscribe..."
                  Take care.
